Being an "Older" young woman and experiencing many stages in my life. I came from a women that spent alot of her time trying to teach her daughters how to be good woman. But getting married at a young age I broke out on my own and thought I had it all figured out. However as life goes on and I got older I realized that the Lord has blessed me with my own children (6) 4-through birth and 2 God gave me. Not to mention the many young men and women that grew up calling me mom. This is a great thing, however a scary one because I know if God gave them to my husband and I, that we must treat them as a Gift but they are not for us to keep for ever. We are to train them in the way they should go so that when they get older they wont depart from it. We all have a purpose and for those who are choosing the will of our father God, we must realize that we are to grow the children up to be servants of God. We all know that the 5th commandment tells our children that they must honor their parents (which is us). This means they must be obedient children. When they grow up they will already know how to be obedient to the almighty Father. If we are in the situation of raising children or if they have already grown up we must be obedient examples ourselves so that the children, or our grown sisters and brother in Christ will learn from our behavior. I know we all fall short of His glory but He does see our hearts. It's not too late for us to become obedient to our Lord, Jesus Christ. After all we are the children of God (our parent) so we to should follow the 5th commandment. right?
Titus 2:1-8
Titus 2:1-2
But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine:
that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience;
Titus 2:3-5
The older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things... that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,
to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obdient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.
Tituus 2:6-8
Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded, in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibilty, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an oppenent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.
Titus 2:11-13
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.
