OK, I'll be the first to admit that I DID not work out all weekend. I may have planned to, but that plan just did not take action. Thursday, I totally overworked my shoulders (on accident, I was actually doing leg exercises ) and so I took Friday off because every single muscle in my body honestly needed the rest, I couldn't even do cardio if I tried. But I didn't think much of it, because I knew that my dear hubby (DH) would not let me skip out again on our workout after Sabbath. But, lo and behold, we got up at the crack of dawn to get to church, and then we stayed late, and stopped for something to eat after. Then I called Tammy, and talked to her about the baby, and came home and cleaned up (we left in a hurry), and ended up having a 2am Prov. 31 Bible Study w/Mom and Monique. Needless to say, Saturday's workout went out the window. So I get up early on Sunday determined to workout, and suddenly get the urge to re-organize AJ's room, which lead to the re-organization of my closet (I really need to learn how to control those urges ). Sooo, AJ's room still has stuff everywhere, but my closet is really pretty ! LOL! And by the time we (dh's carpentry skills hard at work, too, helping me) finished, it was time to eat dinner and watch 7th Heaven (such a great Christian show for families!). And, there went Sunday's workout, although I was breaking a sweat.
So with all that being said, I am getting back on the wagon today! It's 8 am here, and I've already worked out w/ DH, sent him off to work (after eating breakfast, that AJ made ), and we're back in business!!
I just wanted to show you all that even though I talk a mean one, when it comes to health and fitness, even I sometimes miss my planned workouts. I try not to let it happen often, though, so I don't ruin my fitness goals. All that matters is that you get back up, keep going, and try not to let it affect you. But we all know that the longer you stop, the harder it is to get going again. So we all (including me) have to pray and strive to make healthy living a part of everything that we do.
Anybody wanna inspire me w/ how they did 2 1-hour workouts this weekend, or ran 5 miles, bench pressed a new personal record? How was your weekend (health wise)? I'm all ears (or...eyes .Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. Prov. 16:3

Sorry I am not the person that can tell you about a long good workout this weekend. I did not workout on Friday, Saturday I had to travel 1 1/2 to see my friend Yo, she move to the east side of AZ. Sunday I got up and took a walk around the block, then we went to AZ Malls and I walk the whole mall. That sounds good I know but the question is what did you eat at the Mall, well I had chicken pasta w/cream sauce, dry tomatos, and garlic bread. Yes I ate it all.
Now on Monday I did not get out of bed until 12:00pm, my day was already gone. My beloved husband told me I was sleeping so good he did not wake me. I was up the night before until 3:45am cleaning and washing clothes. I know that not good.
Today was a great day I was up at 7:45am and was able to get a lot done. I LOVE MY WORKOUT TAPE. It 's the best one yet. Thanks so much.

Monique, I'm glad to hear that you got out and walked the mall (and I'm gonna pretend like I didn't hear the part about the creamy sauce ). Just kidding, like I said, a treat/time off every now and then is fine, just as long as it's not happening like 3 times a week, and you just get right back in there, eating right and working out.
I know what you mean about getting up late messing up the whole day, that's why I try my best to get up early so that my day can flow smoothly (plus sometimes that's the only way to fit my workout in). I actually worked out twice today ;D, Steve had to rush out this morning, so I did cardio this morning by myself, and then lifted weights w/him this afternoon when he got off of work. I'm pretty proud of myself, I try to fit in weights and cardio each day when I can, if not I just do weights w/him. (I do the cardio after he leaves for work.)
I'm glad you like the video, because its important to actually like the workout if you want to stick w/it.
Keep it up, you'll be shedding the pounds/inches in no time!

Ok, I guess I need to chime in here and be honest about where MY workouts have been this week. Non-existent! I did not make it one night this week (I generally work out later in the evenings, it just works better for me w/my schedule.) I tend to blame my not making it so much this past month or so on the holidays, but I can honestly say it's probably because I'm spending too much time having fun and not enough time being disciplined and making sure I make my gym time a priority. So......needless to say, I am determined to make it tonight, saturday, and sunday.

I've worked out every day this week, so far ;D! Pretty happy about that. I usually try to wake up early and do it, but most of the week I worked out pretty late at night, because I just couldn't get out of bed on time! But I was starting to make it a habit, and I have way too much going on at night and I could see me starting to get to the point where I would eventually just start skipping my workout in order to get other stuff done. So, I've been praying about it, and asking God to help me to make Him and my health top priority. And, the last two days, I got up at 5:30am and got in my spiritual and physical food/workout. I must say, it felt great to get it out of the way and not have to stress about/skip it later in the day as I get busier. I know you have to work out later, but I have NO motivation at night, I just wanna crash on the couch . My eating could've used a bit more tweaking, though. Gotta get that journal started. I know if I keep taking the steps, the Lord will help me to reach my goals. I can't just ask Him to help me, and then just sit there, right? That's like asking someone to help me lift a heavy table, and then just standing there, and expecting them to do everything. I just gotta step out there in faith and know that He won't let me fall.

Ok, so the creepiest thing happened to me tonight. My gym doesn't close until 10pm on friday nights but when I went up there tonight @ 7:30ish, it was all dark and locked up. And if that wasn't the weirdest thing, there was someone locked in there! It just really freaked me out....I don't know what to think. So, needless to say, I didn't get my workout in tonight...which really sucks b/c I was REALLY looking forward to it...Oh well, tomorrow is a new day

OK Ladies I'm gonna make you all feel better about your week. I got up at 7:30a.m everyday this week with all intentions of eating right and working out. How ever not 1 day went as planned Everything that could come up to prevent me from working out did. I did however have my beatiful Mother in Law over for a couple of days and all though it wasn't on my time schedule I did get 1 good day of workout in. It was a blessing that she was here because she walks every morning at home and that motivated me to get out in my neighborhood and she and I walked a good 3 miles around the neighborhood and to the Walmart and back. Now of coarse I did no workout on Sabbath but I did workout today with my new workout DVD. I'm ready for a great week coming and even though I haven't done too well with my workouts I am eating better and I have lost 3lbs. I am a very busy person and I guess I get some exercise just keeping up with my family and house chores. But I love them and I'm very thankful for all that the Lord is doing in my family's life. So this week Ladies we're gonna dust off our spiritual dancing shoes and get to working out So I'll be talking to you ladies soon. God Bless ! Yolanda
